Less of an adapter and more of a base font class. Silly prefixed name to avoid confusion with jdk Font

Returns:

generated font data

Throws:

IOException

detectFormat

boolean detectFormat(byte[] fontFile)

Parameters:

fontFile - input font file data

Returns:

true if the font file is the same font format as this class

read

void read(byte[] fontFile)
   throws IOException

Parameters:

fontFile - reads/parses the input font data into this object.

Throws:

IOException - error reading font data

createConverterForType

FontConverter createConverterForType(FontVerter.FontFormat fontFormat)
                              throws FontNotSupportedException

Throws:

FontNotSupportedException

getName

String getName()

Returns:

font name

isValid

boolean isValid()

Returns:

True if strict validation passes.

getValidationErrors

List<RuleValidator.FontValidatorError> getValidationErrors()

Returns:

runs strict validator and returns any validation errors with the font.

normalize

void normalize()
        throws IOException

Fixes any validation issues with the font.

Throws:

IOException - error reading font data

getProperties

FontProperties getProperties()

Returns:

extra information about the font such as the file ending it should use.
